Rev. Henry Mills has been a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for over 45 years. He has served churches in Georgia, Alabama, Hawaii, Florida and Texas. God has blessed in each of these assignments and has given growth to the churches he has served.
Henry’s strengths are in his Biblical preaching, making Bible truths come alive and relevant to his listeners, and in his warm person-to person contact with people. He is a motivating speaker who seeks to win the hearts of his hearers and move them to a decision for Christ.
Henry has served on many district and general boards of his denomination, including the District Advisory Board, Southern Nazarene University Board of Trustees, and District Sunday School Board (Chairman). He has been elected several times as a delegate to the General Assembly, which meets every four years.
He has traveled extensively to many of our world mission areas as a preacher, teacher, and Work and Witness Coordinator. He was one of the first pastors in the denomination to use the Faith Promise concept to raise money for World Evangelism.
His latest assignment was serving as the Coordinator for the “Building Stronger Initiative” on the Central Florida District. He was working with ten churches on the district that were committed to growing their churches. God blessed their efforts and gave good results in many of these churches.
Rev. Mills is married to Eileen (Hollingsworth) Mills of Alma, Georgia. They have two grown children and three grandchildren.
